Breathing Better Together

NEVER STOP BREATHING is a research and praxis oriented movement that works to correct systemic inequality in health justice and eliminate disparities in health access and resources. We believe health equity is a human right and aim to highlight issues pertinent to the thriving of marginalised communities. NSB draws upon the resilience and creativity of individuals and institutions to develop Ideas, Platforms, and Programs (IPPs) for local and global acts that result in flourishing communities. We propose to answer the issues plaguing our communities with a C.A.R.E approach that correlates to aligning life-altering ideas and program development, implemented from a perspective of communal ownership.  Our signature program is the NSB 846 project. It is customizable for persons, communities or institutions.  The outcome is concrete action leading to systemic life and health improvement in opposition to inequity, indifference and inaction.

Strength, fortitude,

ingenuity, and overcoming. This has been the hallmark of our community's existence. As generations go by, we've held fast to our dreams of healing and restoration. While we treasure our capacity to endure, we are mindful to keep striving. NSB is another chapter in the book of our lives, as we cling to the torch our ancestors have passed on to us.

We are the change we have been waiting for, and hold the keys to our future.

Our flagship project is the NSB 846 Project. It became the very inspiration for creating an organization built around C.A.R.E and inspiring communities by providing a unique avenue to translate weeping into a call to action. To rise and challenge the trajectory of weary souls and tired feet . The Pledge is that we identify areas of systemic inequity within our immediate reach and develop a platform/action plan(s) to mitigate or eliminate the inequity.

The NSB Blog is a space for communal breathing. It fosters and celebrates the work of inspiration, creativity, reflection, lament, meditation, and more, surrounding our experiences and realities. We will share with our readers the poignant thoughts of elders, scholars, clergy, and other thinkers past and present so that we may amplify our triumphs and challenges and breathe better together.

“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.” —Langston Hughes
